Clients call us when things aren’t working well and they don’t know why. Insiders can’t always see the root causes of a problem when they are so close to it. As outside consultants who have worked with many organizations, we can more easily see the logjam, the missing piece, the system that is doing a great job of getting the wrong results. We troubleshoot intractable problems and free people to succeed.

What we do:

  • use a variety of methods to get up to speed on what’s working, what’s not, and why, including interviews, focus groups, and surveys
  • involve all stakeholders in a needs assessment, and, if possible, all staff
  • present findings and recommendations to the leadership team and to all those who participated
  • design a road map for restructuring, if needed, and ensure that the right people are in the right roles
  • if management changes need to be made, coach leaders to have honest, constructive conversations with those who are important contributors, but not great people managers
  • improve how the organization is functioning, while minimizing disruption and the loss of high performers
